The Sony SMO-F551SD is a special version of the popular Sony SMO-F551 removable-storage device offering the outstanding reliability and exceptional durability that MO drives are known for. The Sony SMO-F551SD reads and writes to both the Sony EDM-5200 R/W media and the Sony CWO-5200 WORM Media. In addition, the Sony SMO-F551SD has special features making it able to read and write other optical disks used extensively in medical imaging. The Sony SMO-F551SD is currently being used in a number of fields including: telecommunications, finance, medical imaging, desktop publishing (DTP), and audio and video editing.
